Uncle!

11:45 PM: About three hours ago I heard that I’m about to be an uncle! We’re still don’t know what flavor the baby will be, but Sally and I think it will be a boy…

I’m sitting by the phone in anticipation…

1:25 AM: I still haven’t heard anything. The labor has gone on for at least 16 hours so far… Pete must be having fun! Mom and I were joking that they held up the Presidential election results until after the baby was born. Tonight may turn out to be more of a thrill than last night!

3:30 AM: It’s a girl!!! (The name has not yet been announced.)

3:50 AM: Just got off the phone with dad. He’s going to complete the family phone chain with a call to a new great grandmother…

Interesting tidbit

I just saw this in my referer log:

Apparently if you do a search on MSN for ‘software engineer’, this site comes up number 5, right between Cheesecake the Clown (a software engineer who moonlights as a clown in the Boston area) and Xearl, Warrior Princess Does the Macarena (don’t ask).

Am I that notorietous? (And isn’t that a word?)

This also means that if you’re a Windows user, and you type ‘software engineer’ into the URL bar in Internet Explorer, you’ll see this site as #5 of 111 sites. I have no idea why it’s so high in MSN’s rankings, but you don’t see me complaining now, do you?
