Whenever a new discussion group message or comment is posted, Manila now records the IP address along with the discussion group message. This feature helps to prevent spammers from attacking your site.

A new feature was released today for Manila sites which run a news aggregator: mySubscriptions.opml. This OPML file lists all of the news feeds a Manila site is subscribed to.

Another new feature for Manila — support for categories in Manila’s RSS feeds.
For news items which have a department specified, the corresponding item in the RSS feed for the site will contain a category sub-element with the name of the department.
