Dallas Guitar Show, April 22, 2006

I managed to get out of there without buying anything except for some parts for my ’66 Jazz Bass, which I happily discovered is probably worth about twice as much as I thought it was, which is in turn about 10 times what I paid for it in 1994.

My ’66 Jazz Bass is the same year (and probably the same part of the year) as the one on the left in this picture, though not in nearly as good shape. Too bad its former owner felt the need to sand off the finish on the headstock. I think he’d been wanting to paint it a different color. That knocked about $10K off of its current value. Sé la vie.
