If you’ve been wondering why I haven’t been posting much here recently, it’s not because I have a new drug habit. ;): Smile!

Rather, it’s because I’ve been working really hard on the software behind this site. (Yes, it’s an excuse, but at least the results make for a good read.)

Eventually I plan to flow some of the content that’s currently headed that direction towards this page, but for the moment, I’m focussing on getting the software right.

Speaking of dogs, it’s funny – more than three years after I first read it, I still point people at this, one of my all-time favorites. Here’s a quote:

CNN.com has a special report on the power crisis in California.

A severe winter throughout much of the country has heated up a debate over soaring utility rates. In California the utility market is especially chaotic. Wholesale electricity prices there average $330 per megawatt-hour, 11 times higher than a year ago, and the threat of rolling blackouts has sparked outrage among consumers.
